Indian Community in Santiago Celebrates a Dazzling Diwali Night
Santiago, Chile – October 25, 2025:
The Indian community in Santiago came together to celebrate the festival of lights with grandeur and joy at a vibrant Diwali event organized by the Indian Association Santiago. The evening was a perfect blend of culture, festivity, and togetherness, bringing the spirit of India alive thousands of miles away from home.
The event was held under the leadership of President Kishan Dadlani, Vice President Nikhil Jain, Cultural Heads Ruchi Agarwal and Manu Agarwal, and Treasurer Ranjit Das, with seamless coordination and support from volunteers Shital Baghel, Nikki Jain, and Komal Bagale.
Adding prestige to the evening, the celebration was graced by Her Excellency Mrs. Abhilasha Joshi, Ambassador of India to Chile, who commended the community for keeping Indian traditions vibrant in foreign lands.
The night featured enchanting cultural performances by children and members of the Indian diaspora, showcasing the colors and rhythms of India. Guests were treated to a variety of authentic Indian delicacies, evoking the flavors of home.

To enhance the festive atmosphere, a mehendi (henna) cart and face glitter booth added sparkle and excitement for guests of all ages. The evening concluded with an energetic DJ session, where everyone danced to lively Bollywood beats, wrapping up the night with laughter, rhythm, and shared joy.
The Diwali celebration by the Indian Association Santiago was truly a memorable evening of unity, culture, and festive cheer, symbolizing light over darkness and spreading happiness within the Indian community in Chile.
